Man Trades A $160K Diamond Ring For A $20 Bag of Weed

There are dumb criminals, and then there are DUMB criminals. This guy makes all dumb criminals look like Einstein.  Why would you risk employment stealing a package from your employer, especially when that package contains a diamond ring worth almost $200,000?  Not only that, but wouldn’t a criminal at least open the package to see what they’re stealing so they don’t end up taking home a box full of dog poop or something?

Not only does he deserve to spend time in jail, but I think he needs to retake school from the 6th grade on. Maybe a bit of education will help this guy out with all his personal issues.  With all the issues that have swamped UPS this year, I don’t think they needed this knucklehead adding to the mix.

ABC-15 claims a former UPS employee in Arizona has been accused of stealing a package that held a $160,000 diamond and traded it for $20 worth of weed.

Walter Earl Morrison, and he’s 20-years old. A probable cause statement obtained by The Smoking Gun says Morrison actually thought money was in the package that he allegedly swiped while unloading cargo at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix. But instead, the pricey stone was inside.

Authorities say the “half-baked bandit” traded the diamond for the equivalent of two joints of marijuana.

Ouch. Sounds like he was on a serious jones, wouldn’t you say?

They got the diamond back and returned it to the intended recipient.

  1. There was one better than this, last week. I believe it was in Cobb County and involved a woman filing a phony state tax return. She was told to go to a bank inside a certain grocery store to pick up her refund check……………………..for $92 million.

    You just can’t make this stuff up.
